Visitor Access Safeguarding and Security
School access is on Wilmot Street or Finnis Street where we have buzzer and video entry systems.
In the interest of safeguarding and child protection if visitors are wearing garments which cover your face, staff may ask for identification.
Visitors should sign in and out of the school building on the ground floor and wear a visitor badge whilst in school.
Visiting the School
Hague Primary School is situated half way down Wilmot Street, between the Bethnal Green Road and Three Colts Lane. Three Colts Lane is accessible from Cambridge Heath Road on the east side and Valance Road on the west side. There is no school based parking for staff or visitors.
Public Transport
Underground - approx 8-10 minutes walk from each of the following stations:
- Bethnal Green Tube Station, Cambridge Heath Road (Central Line)
- Whitechapel Underground and Overground Station (District, Elizabethan, Hammersmith and City and Windrush Line
Overground:
- Bethnal Green Train Station, Three Colts Lane (The Windrush Line) 2 minutes walk south along Wilmot Street.
Bus Routes - 106, 254, 309, 388, D3 and D6
Vehicle Parking
Hague does not have any onsite parking facilities for staff or visitors.
Restricted street bay parking exists around the school, contractors and school visitors who need to book a parking space should call the main office.
Pay-as-you-go on-street parking in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets using your preferred parking app through the National Parking Platform
Finnis Street is a designated Safer School Streets zone. It is one-way from Wilmot Street, with restricted access between 8:45 - 9:15am and 3:15 - 3:45 pm.
Accessibility
We recommend Finnis Street for disability access and deliveries. Please note the council does not have designated disability bays locally.
The Finnis Street Gate has a wheelchair access / service ramp to the playground and main entrance. All reasonable adjustments are made so that meetings are held on the ground floor as necessary.
- The ground floor is partially accessible for wheelchair users.
- The 1st floor and above is not wheelchair accessible - there is no lift.
