Deaf Rave DJ Taster Workshop

Hague DRB's KS2 children were very excited to participate in a Deaf Rave DJ Taster Workshop. Troi Lee (MBE) and Jefferson Stone from Deaf Rave CIC explained their journey to becoming famous, trailblazing DJs and had some inspiring words for our deaf children. Troi told them that even though they may face barriers, if they work twice as hard they can achieve anything.
They showed us the DJ kit and then the children had lots of practical experience using the DJ equipment, trying out different music styles and learning how to line up the waveforms on the screen.
The experience was made even better by the use of Woojer vests, which turn the music into vibrations so you can feel the music. Their favourite style of music to listen and feel through the vest was drum and bass!
